Usability
Usability is the ease with which people can use an online interface in order to achieve a particular goal. It usually refers to the elegance and clarity with which the interaction with a website occurs.
Usability Testing
Moodia run testing session days that employs the use of randomly picked web-users. The user will be given access to the website and monitored by video while being given simple tasks to carry out on the website. Lack of information and/or obscure positioning of tools/information quickly become transparent in the form of frustration by the user or failure to complete tasks.
Factors taken in account when conducting user testing include:
- Who are the users, what do they know and what can they learn?
- What do users want or need to do?
- What is the general online literacy of the users?
- What has to be left to the website to convey? What to the user to interpret?
